As removed from aNAD CD Player Model: 5255
ThisNAD model was released to the market in the early 1980’s
The lovely Toshiba laser head had failed and I have discovered they are EXTREMELY difficult to find replacements for, so the complete machine has been parted out.

This is the complete (fully functioning) AC stepdown transformer and LV DC power supply components, complete with the AC line interconnect box with power on-off switch and long finger going to the front panel button.
Pefect if your power supply has failed OR if you have a 100/110V version of the 5255 and wish to use it with a 240V AC supply

NADCD Player 5255
AC Transformer:
As in the photographs, the line lead which goes to the black interconnect box (also houses the push on – push off power switch) AC transformer, low voltage outputs, regulation etc
The only wires that have been cut are the 5 (colour coded) wires going to the main PCB – I have left small “tails” on the main PCB to assist with knowing which wire goes where.
Main body of the PSU module measures: 105mm x 55mm x 65mm

COSMETIC CONDITION:
There is no physical damage to any of these components
All items are clean
One comment needs to be made, at the entry point of the line lead there was light damage to the insulation when removing the panel clamp. To be totally safe it would probably be a good idea to change the line lead (easy task). The insulation has a small “nick” in it but no conductors are “bare”
In all other respects, the PSU is in perfect condition
TESTING:
Fully functioning prior to removal from the 5255
After removal from the equipment I made some “double checks” out of the system, the voltages are all fine and the details are:
Blue – Blue 35V AC
Yellow – Black – Orange -15.5 – 0 – +15.5 (dual supply rails)
At the “push/lock” connector, (which goes off to the front panel display board) I measure a +5V rail and a -25V – 0 – +25V dual rail system and +15V

Due to the design of the 5255, replacement of your existing power supply module is not difficult.

I do NOT have the schematics for this equipment.

Since removal, this PSU Module is now sealed in plastic.
