Perform the music of the Baroque period with confidence using the Aulos Flauto Traverso (AF1S). Designed after the classic one-key Baroque transverse flute, this instrument captures the warm, expressive tone that has made the traverso a favorite for early music ensembles, recorder consorts, and historical performance practice.

Unlike many period flutes tuned to A = 415Hz, the AF1S is pitched at modern concert pitch (A = 440Hz), making it easy to perform alongside today’s instruments while preserving the distinctive character and fingering of the Baroque traverso. Its rich, mellow sound blends beautifully with strings, harpsichord, recorder ensembles, and chamber groups.

Constructed from premium ABS resin with an attractive dark brown finish and ivory-colored trim, the AF1S offers the look of a traditional wooden traverso while providing exceptional durability and resistance to humidity and temperature changes. Its lightweight design and reliable intonation make it an excellent choice for students, educators, and experienced performers exploring historical repertoire.
