This collection includes 35 Baroque keyboard pieces by Bach, Buxtehude, Couperin, Handel, Lully, Pachelbel, Purcell, Scarlatti and others, and 18 transcriptions for piano of Baroque favorites by Bach, Handel, Pachelbel, Purcell and Vivaldi. Among the most famous music in the book is Air on the G String, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring, selections from Water Music, selections from Messiah, and movements from The Four Seasons. As with the rest of the series, the edition is deliberately clean, without editorial markings, allowing a teacher or performer his or her own interpretive ideas.
