This book goes beyond providing a collection of traditional reels, jigs, waltzes, county-rags, etc. In these pages, you will also find instruction on scales, modes, and chord theory so that the motivated player may get the most from the simple one-row button accordion. While the songs in this book are written for the one-row diatonic accordion, they can also be played on two-row boxes tuned either in fourths or tuned a semitone apart. For further instruction on two-row boxes tuned in fourths, we recommendHow to Play the Button Accordion & Song Book, also available through Centerstream.
