During the recording of their album “Wish You Were Here”, they actually set fire to a studio floor. The band had been using large amounts of pyrotechnics during their live shows and wanted to incorporate similar effects into the recording process. However, the stunt went wrong and a section of the studio’s floorboards caught fire. The band and recording staff were able to put out the flames quickly, but the incident caused damage to the studio equipment and a delay in the recording process. Despite this setback, the album went on to become one of Pink Floyd’s most successful and beloved works.
