For the history books, PMI is Precision Monolythics which specialised in high performance mixed and analog integrated circuit design and manufacture. Formed by engineers from the likes of Fairchild, TRW and Tektronix, the company was very innovative in their field. In 1990 they were bought by Analog Devices.
