for contrabass and piano

Commissioned by legendary bassist Gary Karr and his accompanist Harmon Lewis, Stepping Out is outgoing and exuberant, featuring two highly stylized dances (polka and tango) followed by a driven, jazz-tinged finale with plenty of virtuosic passages. For advanced players.
