The Sonata A major, D 664 is one of the most popular and most played piano sonatas by Franz Schubert. The Wiener Urtext Edition presents the work in a single edition after the three-volume edition of all piano sonatas by Franz Schubert. The newly revised sheet music after the first edition is accompanied by a critical report and notes on proper interpretation. The foreword provides information about the history of the composition, which has not yet been finally clarified.
