BRAND NEW Old Stock
Ex our workshop stores, our audio production business has now closed down (retired) and all the stock and some test accessories must find new owners
If you are working with ESD sensitive equipment or components, these are a “must have” as one part of your arsenal against the dreaded “spark in the night” causing failure of the items under test or examination. If you do not use ESD protection, it is quite feasible you will not even know that a discharge has occurred immediately, component failure can be sometime “down the track” – anyway, prevention is the name of the game.
This mat is just one line of defence, you should also be using a personal ground strap and electrically “neutral” clothing – never ever walk into your workshop with that nice shiny nylon shirt (dry low humidity day) as you are probably a walking static “bomb” – ESD protection can help greatly reduce these dangers.
